Well, as a #contractmanager, it’s important to stay open to new ideas and approaches rather than simply relying on the same old methods. There are a few reasons why doing things the way you’ve always done them might not be the best mindset:
1. Evolving industry
Industries are constantly changing and evolving, and what worked in the past may not necessarily be the most effective approach today. Sticking to old methods without adapting to new trends and technologies could prevent you from taking advantage of more efficient and innovative practices.
2. Improved efficiency
By being willing to explore new ways of doing things, you may discover more efficient processes that can save you time and resources. Embracing change and adopting new tools or technologies specific to contract management can help streamline your workflows and boost productivity.
3. Meeting client needs
The needs and expectations of clients also change over time. By staying stuck in old ways, you might miss out on opportunities to better serve your clients and meet their evolving requirements. Adapting to new ways of working can help you provide a higher level of service and maintain strong client relationships.
4. Risk mitigation
Being open to new approaches and strategies can also enhance your ability to mitigate risks. By continuously evaluating and improving your processes, you can identify potential risks and implement measures to minimize them. This proactive mindset can help protect your organization and ensure successful contract management.
In summary, contractmanagers should avoid the mindset of always doing things the same way because it hinders growth, limits efficiency, and may not meet the evolving needs of clients and industries. Embracing change, being open to new ideas, and continually improving processes can lead to better outcomes in #contractmanagement

I believe it is an important function that is often overlooked whilst research shows that doing this right brings you serious high single digit percentage benefits….
